Well, the past couple of weeks have been … a lot.
After more than two decades both in my career and in southern California, I stepped away from my career and moved out of California! I am now in the Pacific Northwest, and with both feet firmly in my new career as an author!

So the last two weeks have been a little crazy, but I have managed to write every day, which has been amazing. I haven’t written quite as much as I would like to, but I’m confident that I will be able to improve on that.
Interestingly, the primary factor doesn’t feel like the “extra” time I have (do we really have “extra” time?), but the lack of my day job intruding into my thoughts on a very basic level. I feel like I have a lot more room in my head to think about my writing and put down one word after another.
Of course, this is just one part of the process. There’s a ton I need to get working on that will help get all these words out in front of readers.

Sometime in the next few months I need to relearn ads, refresh my website, start researching Shopify, improve my newsletter, grow the mailing list… That’s just off the top of my head, I’m sure there’s plenty more iceberg down below all of that. 90% more, amirite?
For now, the main goal is to put down words. Blood and Blades, the third installment in our Seattle Slayers series, is due to drop on April 1. (No fooling!) I’m enjoying the heck out of writing Roxy’s adventures and I hope you’ve been enjoying them as well.
For now, back to work!
